Show you care, become young carer aware
There are over 3,000 young and young adult carers living in Brighton and Hove who help look after a family member or friend who is ill, disabled or misuses drugs or alcohol.
Research shows that Young Carers and Young Adult Carers are significantly less likely to undertake higher education or enter employment compared to their peers without a caring responsibility.
To celebrate Young Carers Action Day 2024, we are asking local Brighton and Hove organisations and individuals to Show they care by becoming young carer aware and complete our online Carer Awareness training.
It’s a simple action, which can have a huge impact on young and young carers’ lives.
